Product Description
Homework Helpers: Algebra emphasizes the role that arithmetic plays in the development of algebra and covers all of the topics in a typical Algebra I class, including:

• Solving linear equalities and inequalities • Solving systems of linear equations • Factoring polynomials • Graphing functions • Working with rational functions • Solving quadratic equations • Understanding word problems

Homework Helpers: Algebra will help build a solid mathematical foundation and enable students to gain the confidence they need to study Algebra II. This book also contains a summary of important formulas for easy reference.

This new title in the Homework Helpers series will help build a solid mathematical foundation and enable students to gain the confidence they need to continue their education in mathematics. Particular attention is placed on topics that students traditionally struggle with the most. The final chapter in the book covers word problems in detail, and several problem-solving strategies are discussed. While these books could be used to supplement standard algebra textbooks, they could also be used to refresh your arithmetic and problem-solving skills.

The topics are explained in everyday language before the examples are worked. The problems are solved clearly and systematically, with step-by-step instructions provided. Problem-solving skills and good habits, such as checking your answers after every problem, are emphasized. There are practice problems throughout each book, and the answers to all of the practice problems are provided.

Good series of Math Books. They teach by doing problems as well as showing the student how to go about solving them. The best way to
learn mathematics.
