A sure way to get kids laughing about their homework blues! July 22, 1997 28 out of 28 found this review helpful
Anyone who teaches kids 3rd grade and up will want to read this book out loud at the beginning of school! This is also a great book to loan to parents of those kids---a nice way to give parents some suggestions when they say, "How can I get my child to do their homework?"
Witty and helpful May 6, 2001 22 out of 22 found this review helpful
This book is a sure way to get children laughing their way through homework. The meaningful jokes (by meaningful I mean that they are almost subliminally coaxing kids to do homework) are miracles. This writing style should be used more often! If the author comes out with other informative, witty and adorable books, I will be the first customer!
Good! June 2, 2002 Wei Lin (Irvine, CA) 20 out of 20 found this review helpful
I have read many long, complex books on studying and study tips. Soon after using the complicated methods, I stumbled across this book. It was refreshingly simple and effective without any sort of complicated methods. A good reminder for the overwhelmed.
This book was GREAT!!! July 27, 1999 21 out of 24 found this review helpful
This book is with out a dout the 2nd best book I have ever read! No offense to the author, but I loved The Diary Of A Killer Cat by Anne Frank. I think this book was not only for teachers, adults, counslers. I think this book would be most entertaining to students like me. I am a student and I read this book every night before I go to bed. I'd give this book 6 STARS!!!
kids can do a lot when properly motivated October 19, 2004 Eric Lay (Mountain View, CA) 10 out of 11 found this review helpful
I like this book very much. It provides insights on how to make kids happy and productive in doing homework. Its humorous writing makes my daughter and me laugh! The ideas are simple and effective. Kids are motivated to do better when their homework is recognized widely.
A friend of mine referred me to a nice Houston community web site http://www.beestar.org. It provides free daily math exercises with weekly honor roll. My daughter likes it very much. She has been doing math online without any push since I signed up her last semester.
